Study in Japan Advisor

Embassy of Japan

The Embassy has a dedicated Student Advisor, Mr. Ong Kong Leong, who provides free counselling to students who are interested in studying in Japan. He conducts sessions around 4 times a month over Whatsapp. You can find the schedule at the link below.

MEXT Scholarship Briefing Session

Every year, a MEXT Scholarship Briefing Session is held that brings together alumni, Japanese universities, booths and consulting services for those interested in studying in Japan. Despite its name, it is not limited to just those applying for the scholarship but for anyone interested in studying in Japan.

Japan Creative Centre (JCC) Social Media

Japan Creative Centre

The Japan Creative Centre, run by the Japanese government, posts information about information sessions for studying in Japan. This include the aforementioned MEXT Scholarship Info Session, but also various info sessions conducted by different Japanese universities in Singapore. Follow their Facebook page to get the latest updates.

Of course, the Singapore Students' Association (Japan) is more than happy to provide you a student's perspective on issues. Feel free to drop us an email with your questions, and we will connect you with students who are currently studying in Japan. Many of them have probably had the same questions and issues that you are having now.
